Our Lady of Good Health Church
Built in 2005, Our Lady of Good Health Church is known by locals as Graha Maria Annai Velangkanni. The Marian shrine was built in an Indo-Mogul style and celebrates a 17th century Marian apparition. The shrine is two floors in height and includes a seven-story tower built in Indonesian style. The church is considered an important pilgrimage site and attracts many visitors each year.

Sri Mariamman Temple
This is Medan’s oldest Hindu Temple, built in 1884 as a place of worship for the goddess, Mariamman. It is in Medan’s Little India district and is a meeting point for Hindus year-round, including during the Thaipusam and Deepavali festivals. The temple consists of three chambers for worship with sacred statues, such as the sculptures of various Hindu gods.

Masjid Raya Al Mashun Mosque (Grand Mosque of Medan)
Built in 1906, the Great Mosque of Medan is part of the Maimun Palace complex and combines designs from Middle Eastern, Indian and Spanish architecture. The venue can hold up to 2,000 worshippers. The location is a popular pilgrimage site, flanked by flower-embellished gardens. The mosque’s dome was designed in a similar style to the Grand Mosque of Banda Aceh found in Turkey.
