Kawah Putih

Located 51 kilometers from Bandung, this cool-colored lake is embedded in the crater of Mount Patuha, one of Java’s many stratovolcanoes. The lake itself is unique in that its high levels of sulfur allow the water colors to shift between milk-blue, mint-green, and even brown tones. The area surrounding the park includes many tourist-friendly areas such as hot springs. Visitors can enjoy the natural habitat and lush forested floor on the volcano. Although a popular vacation spot for locals, the area is relatively new to international tourists.
